Mon Adv Wheel, Art Nouveau - 6pm, 5/19

Service Description

This advanced wheel class will study the nuances of Art Nouveau design in pottery. This can be executed by many different techniques, carving, sgraffito, slip-trailing, glazing and additive clay altering. This class is 8 weeks long, once a week, for 2 hours (each class will be at least 2 hours but some projects might need more time and will extend into more than 1 class day.) This includes clean up time. 2 Make -up classes are available, if needed. This is recommended for students that have already taken at least two pottery wheel courses and/or are proficient on the wheel. We be working with a variety of mid-range stonewares. The cost for these projects the cost is $360 plus tax and includes up to 40 pounds of stoneware clay, use of tools, glazing and firings. These projects may involve Handbuilding techniques and other materials. (Note: Additional bag of clay can be purchased for $25 and pieces can be fired for $12 a pound at greenware stage) Currently we are taking 7 students this time for each class, (ages 14 and up). There is a 5 person minimum before a class will be scheduled for each time slot. Please also let us know of a day and time that you need if it is not listed. NOTE: Since we are charge a credit card processing fee the moment you pay, there will be a $10 cancellation fee, should you need to cancel before the 1st day of the course starting. After that, the cost of the course is not refundable, but we can apply it to a future course or you can transfer it to a friend or family member.
